I’ve recently joined Bay Malton Angling Club, so that i can enjoy the delights of the River Dane.
So a nice sunny morning last week brought me out of my semi hibernation and out onto the river bank.
Even though it looks like a lovely warm day in the photo, the water temp was 36 degrees, and i had to wear two pairs of waders to stay warm. I tried various runs and deeper pools but it wasnt to be – not a bite, sight or sound of a fish. Phil and I were treated to the sight of a lovely big Buzzard though. It seems to be a lovely stretch of river, and i cant wait for the mercury to rise!

Nice spot that Mike the deep hole is about ten yards downstream of you.
Will show you in a couple of weeks knowing the water is important this time of year. I blanked on unfamiliar water Sunday.
