Trout and Grayling on the River Irwell

I had a couple of nice short sessions on the Rivers Irwell and River Roch at Springwater Park in North Manchester.

I started off fishing lures in the shallow fast runs, thinking that the fish might be in the oxygenated water,,, but I was wrong.

The trout were lurking in the shady, slow deeper water, and the Grayling in the junction pool of the Irwell and Roch.
