Stastny Novy Rok
Stastny Novy Rok to you all – (Happy New Year).
Have spent the holidays in Slovakia visiting Lucias family. With daytime temperatures of minus 5 and dropping to minus 20 at night, i thought it wise to leave the fishing gear at home. The fishing during the summer months can be fantastic but the season is short with only June to October allowed for trout fishing.
Highlights of the week were a traditional folk evening on New Year, and bathing outdoors in hot thermal springs in the Tatras Mountains. A lovely place, made even better by fantastic hosts. Thanks Imo, Lydia and Ivanna.

Not as cold as Mere Beck!! that water looks spot on for me , think I would have smuggled a travel rod and had an hour !!!
